Have More Fun

Games are just so fun to play
Even on a rainy day.
We do not need to watch TV
Or play on phones and disagree.

We need to go outside and run,
And play in rain or rays of sun.
Just play a game of simple ball
Until you hear your mother call.

All the types of fun we have
Should be without electronic toys
There are so many things to do.
For all the little girls and boys.

Jump and run or bike and play
Can be done on any day!
So, put away technology,
And simply have more fun with me!

A Child’s Day

Little Smiles on little faces
Little drawing and little traces
they sit to try and learn to read
Or stand up tall to take the lead
Back to writing on the board
Being taught all day and not ignored
So many things still yet to learn
To raise the hand and take a turn
The school bell rings it’s time for lunch
The quiet crew now a rowdy bunch
The playground next for all the fun
With time to jump and play and run
The school bell rings at once again
The learning starts with kids that can
Math and numbers look so grand
Even when they count on hands
They have grown so very much
They have learned from books and such
But most of all throughout the day
The teachers were there to lead the way.

Goodbye Worries

I worry a lot, yes I do.
I worry from my nose to toes.
I don’t know why I worry a lot,
And it seems nobody knows.

I worry that my shoes won’t fit,
Or that my hair’s not right.
I worry that my work’s not done,
Or if I’ll sleep tonight.

I need some help to stop,
Stop worrying, yes I do.
I worry that I worry too much,
And if you worry too.

So today my worries will get to rest,
I’ll let my worries fly.
I hope that they will leave me now,
And I will say goodbye!
